I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT 78600) and have gained most of my experience through non-profit work, in educational settings, and volunteering within the community. I provide services for children (6-11 years), adolescents (12-19 years), families, young adults (19-25 years) and adults to address your individualized concerns. I specialize in treating children and adolescents that are experiencing emotional distress due to lowered self-esteem, social anxiety, exposure to trauma, grief, depression, anxiety and ADHD. I work with my clients to identify and process acute and chronic stressors related to life transitions, developmental stages, relationships, academics, work and everyday matters. I utilize an integrative approach to meet you where you are now and build on the strengths you already have. Treatment modalities include solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems therapy and structural therapy.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from California State University, Northridge and my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. I am captivated by relationship dynamics, how we convey our emotions, respond to challenges and interrupt patterns. I focus on your strengths and I respect the collaborative process of therapy. I strive to make an atmosphere that will foster your exploration, support healing and facilitate transformation. I enjoy the process of getting to know you as my client, your unique perspective and gain an understanding of your experience to discover opportunities for change.
